Dodge Neon body kits

One of the most remarkable things about our current generation is the ability we have to get nearly anything we want, anytime we want it, with just about any kind of modification to it that we desire. This is true whether it is buying a new outfit online, or a Neon body kit. The truth is the body kit is the best example of how true this is. Never before has an automobile enthusiast had so much flexibility in what we were able to have regarding our vehicles, and the Dodge Neon body kit is an example of how we can even have a vehicle that shows our own unique personalities.

The Neon body kit is a collection of parts that are geared to modify a standard vehicle by attaching a selection of accessories to the exterior. This includes pieces such as the front and back bumpers, side skirts and spoilers, roof scoops, new front and back end side guards, and can include adding a new paint job.

There are now manufacturers who see the importance and popularity of the body kit and are now offering kits that include variations based upon the standard factory design. The basic Neon body kit includes parts that are complimentary matches to best enhance the vehicle. Even with this being the general standard and often the most popular of the kits, there are still those who are interested in only purchasing particular parts. These individuals will select the accessories they want from a variety of kits to mix and match for their desired look.

For the most part the Neon body kit is made from one of three materials. These substances are polyurethane, fiberglass, and on the more expensive side you will sometimes find a kit made from a material called carbon fiber.

As a general rule the Fiberglass kits are the least expensive and because they are widely available are used in a wide range of ways. It is important to note however that because of what they are made from they can easily be damaged from even the slightest impact.

An improvement is to use Polyurethane, which is made to be very flexible, and relatively light. This allows the product to be highly resistant to impact, and yet still affordable. One of the downsides to using Polyurethane is that it is made from a much more dense product, and as a consequence is heavier than fiberglass.

The final material is called carbon fiber, and it is the most exotic. Because it is extremely light and flexible it is ideal for racing. There are only a small number of these seen on street legal vehicles due to the fact that this is the most expensive of the three products. Above all, this material has been the most attractive due to its strength and minimal weight, Often you will see drivers in the racing scene utilizing carbon fiber because of its unique and beautiful distinct pattern of weaves, keeping it unpainted for show.

Over the past few decades performance and appearance enhancing for your vehicle has become extremely popular and as technology and investment continue to grow so too will the body kit market. It is believed that much of the success in this field is due to the popularity seen when the aftermarket tuning industry expanded at the end of the 1990s. As a result there are more and more manufactures that are crafting their own variations of existing factory standard pieces.
