Engine

  • The 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4 was powered by a turbocharged, inter-cooled, dual overhead cam (DOHC), 16-valve, 2.4-liter, inline, four-cylinder engine. 220 horsepower was produced by a turbocharged engine of 2.4 liters at 5,100 rpm and a torque of 245 foot-pounds at 2,400 rpm.  A five-speed manual transmission was responsible for the passage of power which was then redirected to the wheels in the front.

 

Performance

  • The SRT4s could shoot up from zero to 60 miles per hour (mph) in a mere 5.6 seconds and could come to a halt from this high speed within 120 feet. It could cover a quarter mile in 14.2 seconds at a speed of 102 mph. Its top speed is touched only when it traverses at a speed of 153 mph. The 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4 pulled 0.85g on the Road Holding Index, on a skid pad measuring 200 foot.

 

Fuel

  • The SRT4s turbocharged four-cylinder engine provided a lot of power for the 2005 Dodge Neon and returned an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) estimated 22 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 30 mpg on the highway. With a fuel tank of 12.5 gallons, this ride could run up to an astounding 375 miles if scorching the highway or tear through the city up to 275 miles without requiring any refueling.

 

Exterior

  • This car measured 174.4 inches in length, 67.4 inches in width, 56 inches in height and occupied a wheelbase of 105-inches and was classified by the EPA as a Compact Car. Black Clearcoat, Flame Red Clearcoat Bright Silver Metallic, and Orange Blast Pearlcoat were the four exterior paints available.

 

Interior

  • A maximum of five passengers could be accommodated inside this ride. A head room of 38.4 inches, hip room of 52.4 inches, shoulder room of 53.4 inches and leg room of 42.2 inches were offered to the passengers sitting in front. Rear passengers had A head room of 36.7 inches, shoulder room of 52.8 inches, hip room of 52.9 inches and leg room of 34.8 inches were available for the passengers sitting in the rear end of the car. Dark Slate Gray was the only interior color available.
